Homedics QRM-400H Therapist Select Quad-Roller Massaging Cushion

Filed under: Uncategorized - Administrator @ 12:26 pm

Homedics QRM-400H Therapist Select Quad-Roller Massaging Cushion with Heat The Quad-Roller Massaging Cushion is easy to set up and begin operating. You just prop it on a chair or couch (there are straps you can use to tie it in place if your chair allows) and plug it in. There is a remote control pocket attached to the chair on the right. The remote is attached to the chair by a cord: in other words, it won’t be joining other remotes in your couch cushions, which is great. The remote control itself is laid out very sensibly, so that it’s very easy to operate.

There are two types of massage, shiatsu and rolling, either of which can be used with or without heat. Shiatsu massage is a deeper massage and feels like a knobby ball is being rolled around your back. Rolling massage is gentler and feels like wheels are rolling up and down alongside your spine, which is pretty much just what’s happening: there are two rollers on either side of the chair. The horizontal distance between them can be adjusted using the width button. (There is a demo feature on the remote which gives a quick run-through of all the cushion’s settings.)

Both types of massage, shiatsu and rolling, can be concentrated on the upper or lower back or set to massage the full back. In addition, in the shiatsu mode you can concentrate the massage on a single spot, adjusting it using up and down buttons.

I haven’t tried other massage cushions/chairs, so I can’t compare this product with the competition. Nor can I speak to the product’s endurance, as I haven’t used it yet for a long time. But these are the cushion’s pros and cons as I see them:

PROS:
– Easy to operate
– Sensibly designed remote control
– Remote can’t get lost
– Light weight
– Auto shut-off after 15 minutes
– It feels pretty darn good

CONS:
– The rollers don’t go up high enough to reach my shoulders (I’m 5′9"). People with upper back problems may not find this cushion helpful.

I used to wake up every morning with a stiff back, feeling like my spine would splinter if I twisted at all. That doesn’t happen anymore, but boy would I have wanted this chair then, particularly the rolling full-back massage.

The video should give you a good sense of how the chair operates. Enjoy.

Master Massage Oil Kit, 1 Gallon

Master Massage Oil Kit, 1 Gallon

I have been massaging folks for over 30 years… used all kinds of oils, lotions, and essentials. I must say I dreamed of an oil that would heat nicely in my hands and last long enough to finish an area before getting sucked into the skin… THIS IS IT.
The oil arrived in perfect condition with handy accessories. Everything worked perfectly. The oil is the BEST I have EVER used. It lasted for the duration of the therapy allowing for long motion while reducing friction. I seldomly had to re-oil any areas to complete the therapy.
Clients seemed to enjoy the oil as it does hydrate the skin nicely. I specifically asked if anyone had issues… blemishs or other problems. There was not one complaint. When all done, any residue washed off skin or linens easily.

Filed under: Electronics - Administrator @ 11:57 am

Nikon D90 DX 12.3MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S VR DX Nikkor Zoom Lens Almost exactly two years after the D80 was announced comes its replacement, the rather predictably named D90. The D80 has been one of Nikon’s quiet successes, and even today, despite being positively Methuselah-like in digital camera terms it continues to sell and often makes its way into our top 10 most clicked on cameras. Because it looks so similar to the D80 the D90 appears at first glance to be one of those rather subdued incremental upgrades, but dig a little deeper and you’ll find there’s plenty to keep Nikon fans happy.

Nikon D90 DX Digital SLR Highlights

Nikon Digital SLR image quality
Exceptional image quality is a prerequisite for all Nikon D-SLRs, and the D90, featuring a new 12.3-megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor, fulfills that essential performance requirement with ease. Borrowing a host of technologies, including low-noise, high ISO performance, from the award-winning D300, the D90 will change the notion of what‘s expected from an enthusiast D-SLR.

New D-Movie Mode Features 720p HD cinematic quality
The D90’s creative potential explodes with the capability to record smooth 24fps, motion JPEG sound movie clips. Leveraging the D90’s 12.3-megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor, legendary Nikkor optical quality and the one-button Live View function, the D-Movie Mode gives still photographers a new and exciting way to express themselves in 720p HD.

Comprehensive feature set
Compact, yet powerful, the D90 captures up to 4.5 images per second. Accurate 11-point autofocus is now even faster and more intelligent, aided by Nikon’s exclusive Scene Recognition System. The unique Nikon 420-pixel 3D Color Matrix II Metering system, now enhanced by EXPEED image processing technologies, delivers extraordinary exposure accuracy — immediately evident when reviewing images on the D90’s super-density 3-inch 920,000-dot color LCD monitor.

5.8x AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR included
Famous Nikkor optical quality in a compact, versatile design, featuring Nikon VR image stabilization.

Continuous shooting as fast as 4.5 frames-per-second
Combined with fast 0.15ms power-up and split-second 65ms shooting lag, dramatic action and decisive moments are captured easily.

Low noise ISO sensitivity from 200 to 3200
High signal-to-noise components and design deliver exceptional performance, even at high ISO settings.

3-inch super-density 920,000-dot color LCD monitor
High resolution, 170-degree wide-angle viewing guarantees confident image review and movie playback.

Built-in image sensor cleaning
Effective 4-frequency, ultrasonic sensor cleaning frees image degrading dust particles from the sensor’s optical low pass filter.

11-point AF system with Face Priority
Consistently fast and accurate autofocus, reinforced by the Nikon Scene Recognition System, delivers razor sharpness in a wide variety of conditions.

One-button Live View
Easy Live View access activates 3 contrast detection focus modes including Face Priority AF.

Nikon 3D Color Matrix Metering II with Scene Recognition System
Nikon’s renowned 420-pixel RGB 3D Color Matrix Metering II, teamed with the exclusive Scene Recognition System, evaluates images, referencing an on-board database of over 30,000 photographic scenes, for unmatched exposure accuracy.

Guess Women's Newbury 2 Mary Jane Pump

Just received the Guess Newbury Heels which I thought would be cute but they turned out to be not so cute after all. First of all- the leather strap is so thin that it was really hard to take out of the buckle much less try to put it back in the actual buckle closure after putting the shoes on. The side view wasn’t that bad but the front view of the shoe made my feet look wide which they aren’t. I then put them in the box so I could return them and tried to close the buckle but again its really hard to buckle the strap in- so I gave up. And, just so you know these fit slightly smaller than the size indicates so go 1/2 size up. I usually wear a 7 1/2 but these were even a bit small for me. : )

Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ800U 42-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV

Filed under: HDTV, Electronics - Administrator @ 5:38 am
Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ800U 42-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV I ordered this product through Amazon.com on the 18th of August. It was shipped on the 19th with an August 26th estimated delivery date. I was more than surprised to find that this product was actually to be delivered on the 23rd, and on a Saturday to boot.

First off– the picture is beyond comparison for what I spent for this model. The unit does not give off much heat (as long as you are not in a closed room with no air circulation); as the addition of four low rpm exhaust fans on the top of the plasma keep it cool without additional noise.

Secondly– I would highly recommend the use of blue ray discs through an additional PS3. The smooth scaling from the PlayStation to the plasma is just phenomenal! I did my research on many brands of plasma hd tvs, and I have to honestly say that this is a purchase I won’t regret. In addition, with a unit running this cool, and with an estimated 11 year 24/7 365 days/yr running time until the TV loses half its brightness, I believe I won’t have trouble finding a buyer for this unit if I ever choose to upgrade.

Lastly– This unit can easily detect any HDMI device and conform to its specifications in short time. I find it easy to switch display and audio from my PS3 to my laptop and not lose a second in between.
I highly recommend this product, and duly urge any potential consumer to do their due diligence before any product purchase. If this model is your choice, utilize Amazon.com and not a local brick and mortar store. The free shipping saves you gas, and the ‘white glove’ service will both setup and verify your plasma’s integrity.

Best of luck in your quest for an ideal plasma 1080P TV!

Panasonic TC-32LX85 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV

Filed under: HDTV, Electronics - Administrator @ 5:37 am
Panasonic TC-32LX85 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV I was looking for a new bedroom TV and decided on a 32" LCD. As I already own a 42" Toshiba Regza for the Living Room, I wasn’t all that worried about having 1080p for the bedroom model.

I shopped around for this one a lot and could not decide between Sony, Samsung or Panasonic. After 2 trips to Best Buy, I decided the Samsung probably had a bit more vivid color and a swivel base. I ended up purchasing the Panasonic, however because the Samsung seemed to be less "solid" in construction and the Sony was about $100 more with what appeared to be a worse picture quality.

I’ve had the TV for a little over a month and it has been flawless. I actually think it has a better picture than my 42" Toshiba. It was very easy to setup, pulled it out of the box, plugged it in and went through a very user friendly setup. I like how the speaker is hidden, and is of surprisingly good sound for an LCD.

My only potential complaint is if I ever decided to mount it on the wall, the base is pretty weird in pulling off, which requires you to tip the screen on it’s side.

Panasonic Viera TH-50PZ800U 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV

Filed under: HDTV, Electronics - Administrator @ 5:35 am
Panasonic Viera TH-50PZ800U 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV The battle wages on between LCD and Plasma, but I know I chose correctly when I picked up this television. I have had it now for over a month and I still am as mezmerized as I was on day one. The colors and picture quality are absolutely brilliant. I have a friend that has a 1080p LCD TV and it does not hold a candle to the overall picture quality of this plasma. Again, the one drawback to a plasma screen TV is that it has a glass front, so if you are planning on having this in a room with lots of light and window, reflections will be a problem, and you might choose an LCD. But if you have a TV area like mine, hands down this is the best value and quality. 3 HDMI inputs (2 back, 1 front), 2 component inputs (1 back, 1 front) and your regular cable and composite hook ups available on back as well. The menues are easy to navagate, and the remote is user friendly. This also has an SD card slot that can handle the SDHC cards up to 16gb so you can display your digital photos. The only thing I wish the TV did was on the picture slideshow it allowed you to play music (mp3 files) during the display like some photo frames. Oh well, my pictures look excellent. Finally, my blu-ray movies and my HD-DVD movies are spectacular on this TV. Look around, but you will come back to see that this TV is a best value hands down.
