I bought these shoes because i read some reviews about them being very comfortable and supportive. I have knee problems and the moment I put them on I knew they were the perfect shoes for me. They are shock absorbent which is perfect for my delicate joints. They do stress your leg and bum muscles a bit more than walking on a regular shoe, but it’s not really a killer workout,it’s just similar to walking on sand. I wear them everyday to walk my son to school, run errands and clean the house. I walk on harwood floors and my knees and ankles feel super since I’m wearing them. They also force me to stand up straight because I have to balance a little bit. It takes a few minutes to find your center of gravity on them, but I never really felt like I was gonna fall down or anything.
As for results, it’s hard to tell, because I walk and workout regularly, but they are much more supportive than sneakers to walk around the block (I don’t think they’re appropiate for jogging or running though)Your muscles will burn a little more but they will also get tired faster. However I can credit them for toning my calves slightly after about 4 weeks of use.
Bottom line: DON’T EXPECT MIRACLES, but wear them frequently and you will be able to walk MORE because you will feel supported and your joints and soles won’t hurt; plus, the extra burn will motivate you. Exercise is what will REALLY help you tone your muscles.
PRO: Supportive and shock absorbent, promote good pusture, boost your workout
CONS: You’ll need more pedicures, because they roughen your soles for some reason. Your legs will tire faster if you walk a lot on them
